Our decision to homeschool began in 2020 after there were radical changes to the child care and school system. If you’re anything like me, we just needed to know who our child was surrounded by all day and what she was exposed to at school. This concern in an ever changing world made it easy for us to say we wanted to go another route and withdraw from the school system.
As a homeschool parent, I personally know what it’s like to not want to teach your child just anything but rather to teach them the values that are most important to you. Many Christian homeschool families prefer a homeschool curriculum that integrates their faith and values into the learning experience. This is where a Christian homeschool curriculum comes in, offering a blend of academic rigor, biblical worldview, and Christ-centered lessons. You are able to choose how much your faith is integrated into the lessons. For instance, if you would like your child to grow in apologetics, there are programs that provide this angle of learning. It starts with knowing what your motivation is to homeschool, being really transparent about this, and leaning into the program that will allow you to invest in your child.
